Do all rooms have sea views?
Yes, all our rooms have beautiful sea views, we are situated directly across from Buffalo Beach - our Premium rooms have the most spectacular sea views.

What time is the motel office open?
Our reception is open daily from 7:30am to 7:30pm. Should you need to get in touch outside these hours, please phone 07 866 5500 or mobile: 027 8665 500.

What time is Check-In?
Check-In is 2:00pm daily. Should you require an earlier check-in time, please contact us to arrange. Please inform us if you are needing to check in after 7:30pm.

What time is Check-Out?
Check-out is by 10:00am. If you plan to leave earlier than 7:30am, please settle your account the night before. For requests for late check-out after 10:00am, please make prior arrangements with reception (additional charges may apply).

What credit cards are accepted?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS are accepted for payment. There is a 2.5% surcharge on credit cards.

Do you have a restaurant or provide breakfasts?
No, we do not have a restaurant, and I am a terrible cook, but we can highly recommend several cafes and restaurants within a 3 minute drive.

What cooking facilities are available?
Our Premium and Deluxe rooms have full kitchens, with a stove, oven and microwave. The Standard rooms have a two burner hob, electric frying pan and microwave. 

Is there a BBQ area?
Guests are welcome to use the outdoor BBQ zone - please see reception for availability. Utensils and cleaning supplies are available at reception. 

Where is the nearest supermarket?
There are two large supermarkets and a smaller supermarket in Whitianga, all within a short 2-3 minute drive from the motel:

How far from the motel is Whitianga's main street with shops, cafes and restaurants?
It is 1.3km's from the motel to the main street of Whitianga (a 3 minute drive, or a 20-30 minute easy, flat walk along the boardwalk).

Is there parking available for guests?
There is one carpark space for each room, spaces are unassigned, therefore, you may park in any available parking space. If you have more than one vehicle, extra cars can be parked on the side road next to the motel. We can also accommodate boats and trailers.

Where is the nearest EV charging station?
Whitianga has two EV Charging Stations open 24/7:
- New World Supermarket carpark, 1 Joan Gaskell, Whitianga
- Lee Street carpark (opposite Pinky's), 4 Lee Street, Whitianga

Are rooms serviced daily?
Rooms are serviced daily between 9:00am and 12:00pm.  

Are there laundry facilities available onsite?
Self-service laundry facilities are available from 2:00pm to 7:30pm, conveniently located next to reception. A small charge applies for the use of the washing machine and dryer (laundry powder and fabric softener are included). Drying racks are also available, or you are welcome to use the clothesline at the back of the carpark. An iron and ironing board is also available for complimentary use in our laundry room.

Is there free Wi-Fi?
Enjoy free high-speed Wi-Fi by simply joining our network on arrival.

What television channels are available?
Each unit features a Smart TV with Netflix and SKY Guest Select, offering over 50 channels including movies and sports.

What heating facilities are available?
In summer, heaters are stored in your wardrobe, and in winter, they are placed in the lounge area. Please position the heater in the room you wish to warm, do not cover it, and always switch off and unplug when leaving the unit. For safety, do not leave the heater on while you are away from your unit.

What cooling facilities are available?
Our Premium and Deluxe rooms have ceiling fans and a stand alone fan and our Standard rooms have a stand alone fan.

Do you have a swimming pool?
No, we do not have a swimming pool, however, we do have a safe swimming beach directly across the road from us.

Do you have a spa pool?
No, we do not have a spa pool but we are a 2 minute drive to The Lost Spring or a 30 minute drive to Hot Water Beach if you would like to dig your very own spa pool on the beach (we have complimentary use of spades for our guests).

Do you have kayaks or other activities?
Guests are welcome to use the two kayaks with life jackets, boogie boards, skim board, beach toys, spades for Hot Water Beach, and a curated selection of books and board games. We also have for hire adult bikes and stand-up paddle boards. Simply ask at reception.

Can you provide local attraction/activities information?
Our reception team is happy to help you discover the best of Whitianga and its surrounds. Pick up activity brochures from the motel office and don't forget to ask about Baileys' special code for a 10% discount on selected local activities.

Do you have a Port-a-cot?
Port-a-Cot hire, sheets and blanket included ($25 per stay)

Are the bathrooms communal?
No, each room has their own bathroom with a shower and toilet.

Are you pet friendly?
Although we do love pets, we have to consider our other guests who may not or who may have allergies, therefore unfortunately, we do not allow pets in the rooms or on motel grounds.

What is your cancellation policy?
Effective immediately and for any bookings made after 11/05/2025 the following cancellation policies apply.

During the following peak periods - 25th December to 31st January, Anniversary, weekend, Waitangi weekend, Easter weekend, ANZAC Day weekend, King's Birthday Weekend, Matariki weekend, Oceans Festival and Labour weekend the following applies:
Cancellations within 14 calendar days or less of the day of arrival or a no show will incur a 100% charge for every room night cancelled.
The above cancellation policy also applies at any time of the year for group bookings (4 or more rooms)

For periods other than the above - cancellations within 2 calendar days of the day of arrival or no show will incur a 100% charge for every room night cancelled.
